Even if your window is ‘old’ but doesn’t need completely replacing then you don’t need to worry because you can still get the parts you need. The other intelligent thing is that VELUX hasn’t changed its standard window sizes for 40 years. If you are looking to replace the glazing only then all you need to do is give us the code found on the metal strip on the top inner edge of the window frame, click here if unsure and we will be able to match the part you need with your window.
NB: remember that VELUX sizes refer to the external frame size, not the glazing area. You can also upgrade your existing manual VELUX roof window to electric (KMX 100 or KMX 100K) or solar-powered (KSX 100 or KSX 100K) operation using our conversion kits.
If you do need to replace your window then that is usually uncomplicated too because it can be done on a like for like basis. However, we do advise that you also replace the flashing also because that will ensure the thermal performance of the window and remove the risk of old flashings leaking.
